The refreshed Hyundai Alcazar now features a sleeker design, drawing inspiration from its sibling, the Creta. The updated model sports new H-shaped LED DRLs and a revamped headlamp cluster, giving it a modern and appealing look. The addition of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with an integrated radar in the revised bumper enhances its safety features.

On the sides, higher trims now include stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, while the lower trims retain the 17-inch wheels. The more pronounced roof rails and updated rear design, featuring a pronounced bumper and a connected LED light bar, further elevate the SUV’s appearance. The rear showcases a bold “Alcazar” badge, adding to its premium feel. While the extensive LED lighting might not appeal to everyone, the boot space is practical, offering 180 liters with all seats up and 480 liters with the third row folded.

Notably, Hyundai has removed the panoramic sunroof and spare wheel from the diesel variants. Instead, diesel models come with a puncture repair kit, while petrol variants receive a 17-inch steel spare wheel. The absence of the windshield is understandable, but the removal of the spare tire may be controversial.

Access to the third row is somewhat cumbersome and best suited for children or short trips. However, the third row includes cup holders, Type-C chargers, and a large quarter window to enhance comfort.

Body roll is well managed, though it’s advisable to avoid high-speed cornering with passengers on board.

Hyundai claims fuel economy figures of 17.5 kmpl (manual) and 18 kmpl (DCT) for the turbo-petrol variant. Our observations showed around 6.5 km/l, with expected city figures closer to 10–12 km/l and higher numbers on the highway under normal conditions.
